Seminis® hybrid seeds enable Nashik’s farmers experience superior


Nasik, Thursday, April 6, 2017: Over 500 tomato and cauliflower growing farmers and seed retailers from Nashik and the surrounding villages gathered today to witness the tomato yields from superior quality Seminis hybrid tomato seeds Garv and Cauliflower SV3630AC. Seminis hybrid seeds have become synonymous with better quality produce that ensures a longer shelf life and excellent marketability.

Commenting on the overwhelming response for Seminis hybrid seeds, Gerardo Lugo, Global Marketing, Product Management & Strategy Lead, Monsanto, said, “At Monsanto, we are committed to enabling farmers to sow better and yield better by providing them quality seeds through innovation and research. The “Garv” and “Cauliflower SV3630AC” varieties of Seminis® hybrids have been well accepted by farmers. While “Garv” hybrids are characterised by its tolerance to disease and pests, no cracking and long transportation ability, “Cauliflower SV3630AC” is an excellent option to summer cauliflower and has field tolerance to black rot.
