Jesus’ Africa Tour

Jesus Madrazo, Global Supply Chain, Commercial Lead and Jagresh Rana, Asia-Africa Commercial Lead, recently visited the Africa Business Unit on a one-week tour of duty, February 19 – 22, 2018.

During their visit, they met and engaged farmers in South Africa and Monsanto staff in Kenya and South Africa.

At the Thobontle Plant, in South Africa, they were hosted on an MPS (Monsanto Production System) tour of the facility.  MPS is a people-driven program being implemented by Supply Chain that helps empower employees and continuously supplies best experience for our customers. The Thobontle plant is the first site in Africa to take up this program.

On their Kenya leg, the duo interacted with employees and hosted an engaging Africa Town Hall during which they gave updates on progress being made towards the Bayer- Monsanto deal and fielded employee questions.

While in Kenya, Jesus also got the opportunity to engage with the media; he had two interviews, one with the BBC World Service and another with a leading regional media house in Nairobi
