Having extensive and intricate knowledge of the agriculture sector, Rachel holds very strong commitment to uplift the lives of Filipino farmers. Her decade of experience in both corn and crop protection industries brings in robust understanding of how organizations like Monsanto can help farmers increase their productivity and improve their livelihood.

Rachel joined Monsanto Philippines, Inc. in September 2012 as Marketing Lead, where she instituted initiatives geared towards delivering more value to farmers while helping the team and the culture move from being product-centric to being a customer-focused organization. She was also instrumental in establishing disciplined approach in implementing core business processes which include product launches, demand forecasting, business planning, pricing standardization, crop planning, and long-range planning.

By providing a strong case based on the preparedness of the market and attractiveness of the value proposition both from customer perspective and value to the business. Rachel provided support to ensure that the Philippines gets selected as a launch country for the global initiative FARMERS FIRST which aims to serve as platform for farmers to readily access agronomic, weather and commodity price information through mobile technology.

With her solid experience in strategic marketing, portfolio management, channel strategy, strong grasp of sales process, formal training and certification as six sigma greenbelt from DuPont, Rachel constantly challenges the team to look for continuous improvement opportunities. In 2014, she became the National Sales Lead of Monsanto Philippines, where she continued to strengthen the sales organization while solidifying her leadership competencies. In April 2016, Rachel was appointed as Country Commercial Lead for Monsanto Philippines, Inc.

Rachel completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts at the University of the Philippines in 1997. She then completed her Master’s Degree in Business Administration at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business under the Regis Program in 2008, where she earned a Gold Medal for Academic Excellence.
