Monsanto Australia Joins Committee for the Economic Development of Australia

Monsanto Australia is set to share its expertise and promote growth of the agriculture industry as a member of one the country’s most well-regarded economic development think tanks.

The Committee for the Economic Development of Australia (CEDA) is a national, independent, member-based organization providing thought leadership and policy perspectives on the economy and social issues affecting Australia.

Australia & New Zealand Corporate Affairs Lead, Adam Blight, said that CEDA membership provides Monsanto with a new platform to work together with the country’s political, government, business and agricultural leaders to find solutions to the challenges facing Australia.

“Ideas about how to produce more, using fewer resources have become critical to Australia as the country grapples with how to turn its mining boom into a dining boom to capitalize on growing Asian demand. Monsanto can draw on its local and global experience to make a valuable contribution to this discussion” Blight said.

For more than 50 years CEDA has engaged with its members and the wider community in evidence-based research, forums and events that deliver lively debate and critical perspectives.
