Time Off
Vacation
You are eligible for two weeks of vacation per calendar year during your first two calendar years of employment. During your first year of employment, this is pro-rated depending on your start date.
Beginning with your third calendar year of employment, you’re eligible for four weeks of vacation per calendar year.
Holidays
Monsanto provides 13-14 paid holidays each year. The following are observed at most locations: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The remaining holidays vary per work location and can vary from year to year.
In St. Louis and certain other locations, remaining holidays are often scheduled so that a holiday shut down is possible in late December.
Leaves of Absence
For parental leave, you’ll receive full pay for up to 20 business days within a year of the birth or adoption of your child. This is in addition to disability leave if the mother is a Monsanto employee who gives birth to a child.
Requests for a variety of other leaves of absence, including death in the family, educational pursuits and military service, also may be granted – some with pay.

Adoption Assistance
You may be eligible to receive up to $7,500 toward the cost of adopting a child.

Tuition Reimbursement
You may be eligible for up to $7,500 annually for tuition if you maintain an acceptable grade level and satisfy program requirements.
Professional Organizations
Monsanto will pay for membership in an organization of your choice that is directly related to your professional interests and job assignment.

Matching Gifts Program
This program supports Monsanto employee contributions to eligible charitable organizations through a dollar-for-dollar match by the Monsanto Fund, the Company's philanthropic arm. The program will match a minimum of $25 per contribution up to a maximum total of $5,000 per calendar year per employee. Types of charitable organizations may include: arts and culture, disaster relief, education, environment, health and youth development.
Relocation Assistance
Monsanto offers a comprehensive employee relocation program for eligible company-initiated moves. Benefits may include: home sale assistance, transportation of household goods, home finding assistance, expenses associated with home finding trips, return trips home, temporary living expenses, final move expenses and job search support for an eligible spouse or domestic partner.
